With a blink of an eye, we are already moving on to the 3rd quarter of the year!! A little update on what has Wedding Diary been on recently.
Weeks ago, we were invited to UNA at One Rochester for a wedding show. It was an eye opening experience for me when I stepped into the restaurant for the first time.
Within the venue, every corner was finely designed to create the overall comfortable and romantic ambiance suitable for holding wedding lunch/dinner up to a good size of 100 – 150 pax. Apart from holding events, I thought it would be an awesome place to hang out with friends for a teatime or dinner date!
There are two concepts housed in this beautiful colonial building. The first floor, UNA dining, is an elegant space with a lush garden sheltered with designed glass panels (thus, no fret when it comes to wet weather in Singapore). This is suitable for families, weddings, and dates.
Second floor, UNA Tapas Bar an air-conditioned balcony with garden view that can be booked for events of about 25 people. Enjoys a laid back vibe with tapas small dish menu, wines, or cocktails specially created by the Chef.
After exploring the whole venue, we were invited to the Bar level for a short cooking session with their Chef, Jean-Philippe Patruno. It was amazing seeing how he whipped up several dishes while he explained how his Spanish mother and Italian father brought him up in Marseille. Thus, Chef Philippe, presenting Home-Style Spanish, Italian and French cuisines, designed the full menu.
Admittedly the price is on the high side, but the ambiance and the quality of food may justify for it!
